The free bus service is part of a revitalisation project initiated by the Newcastle Alliance and supported by the Honeysuckle Development Corporation and the NSW Government. The project enables you to travel for free on all State Transit buses in the designated city zone, seven days a week between the hours of 7.30 am and 6 pm.

Why not try the park and ride system? Just park in the Honeysuckle car park for $4 per day and walk over the bridge at Wickham railway station and catch the bus in Hunter Street.
